After reading a review on Stumptown Vegans of a restaurant in Portland where you could make your own pancakes, I had to go there! I love restaurants that are original and have a theme/specialty. So Cortney and I went to Slappy Cakes yesterday for a very late breakfast. It was super fun to make your own pancakes at the table. They give you a squeeze bottle of the batter and you can make them into any shape you’d like. Lightning bolts, hearts, squares, and initials all made appearances on our grill. My proudest creation was definitely my Pi Pancake. Even the waitress who sees 100′s of pancakes everyday was impressed. This is definitely a place i’m going to bring friends and family in the future.
